Õ¬Äи£Àû

Õ¬Äи£Àû is committed to building a safe and inclusive community that actively encourages and supports the rich perspectives that cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity bring to teaching, learning, and research.

Racism threatens the safety and wellbeing of the Õ¬Äи£Àû community. Tackling and preventing racism is everyone’s responsibility.

±«±·³§°Â’s Anti-Racism and Anti-Religious Vilification policy enshrines and activates our conscious commitment to eliminate racism, racial discrimination and religious vilification in all forms.

Recognising, challenging, preventing, and responding to racism, harassment, and discrimination is underpinned by an action-oriented commitment, enabling Õ¬Äи£Àû student and staff personal development, reflective practice and encouraging enhanced individual and collective responsibility for determined action.

details a whole-of-institution approach to Indigenous education, teaching, and research. The լÄи£Àû Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy prioritises the development of resources, training, and initiatives to equip students and staff, and is informed by the lived experience of and in dialogue with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communities..

Diversity and Inclusion training modules, inclusive language guidelines, and the development of ±«±·³§°Â’s first culturally inclusive calendar provide a foundation for evolving action and to be better humans as active bystanders and allies in combatting racism.

Anti-racist action requires all members of a community to challenge racism in all its forms and report racist incidents. It requires positive demonstration through behaviours and the respect we show others. Racism and religious vilification can be reported through the լÄи£Àû Complaints Portal a²Ô»å complaints can be made anonymously.

Õ¬Äи£Àû prioritises the wellbeing of all  a²Ô»å , and is committed to supporting those impacted by racism.
