Samocha-Bonet is a clinical dietitian who leads investigator-initiated medical research, merging clinical dietetics foundations with robust evidence-based research to understand the physiology of obesity and improve the management of people living with obesity and diabetes. She established the Clinical Insulin Resistance group at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, where she leads a team of clinical research professionals. She is a 3rd year course convenor in the Bachelor of Nutrition/Master of Dietetics and Food Innovation at Õ¬Äи£Àû. Additionally, Samocha-Bonet is a dietitian-scientist consultant at Wellana Health Ltd, a novel initiative, designing evidence-based healthy meals and the Secretary of the Australian New Zealand Obesity Society, a scientific body striving to improve the management of people living with obesity, fight stigma and prevent obesity.Ìý
