Yunkang Liu is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Politics and International Relations at the Õ¬Äи£Àû School of Social Sciences, supported by the University International Postgraduate Award. Before this, he served as a consultant at the UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok, where he supported the Literacy and Lifelong Learning Team in implementing a regional cooperative program on equitable education projects in Southeast Asia. He has also worked as an industrial research project mentor at the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation and has experience in the investment promotion and cooperation department of a governmental agency, the private sector, and an international non-profit organization. He holds an MA in International Development Studies and an MBA in Asia-Pacific Business. He is an affiliate of ANU's Myanmar Research Centre and a country informant for the Asia-Europe Science & Technology Diplomacy Initiative of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). He has published several analytical pieces and articles in research institutions, journals, and media outlets, such as the Asia Research Institute of the National University of Singapore, the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Kyoto Review of Southeast Asia, East Asia Forum, Lianhe Zaobao, and the Bangkok Post, and has presented his work at international conferences.
